We leave the accommodation in Windhoek at around 07h30. We make a short stopover in Otjiwarongo and have lunch before making our way into Etosha National Park via the Anderson Gate. We spend our day game driving through the park and paying visits to waterholes in search of predators and animals such as zebra, giraffe, elephant and rhino. We reach our accommodation situated inside of Etosha National Park just before the sun sets. There is a beautiful floodlit waterhole that neighbours the camp. We spend the evening in twin-shared double rooms with en-suite bathroom facilities. We then sit down for supper and get an early night’s rest for the day ahead.

Experience the magic of Sossusvlei with an unforgettable pre-dawn adventure! We’ll depart early, entering the dune area at sunrise to capture the breathtaking spectacle of towering orange dunes against deep shadows – a photographer’s dream. After a swift drive to the 2×4 parking, a 4×4 shuttle takes us into the ancient Tsauchab River bed, leading to Sossusvlei. Explore Dead Vlei, a surreal landscape of skeletal camel thorn trees against the dune backdrop, a scene over 1000 years in the making. For the adventurous, climb one of the world’s highest dunes (300m!) for panoramic views. On our return, we’ll stop at the iconic Dune 45, offering another chance for a climb or a relaxing break. A short detour to Sesriem Canyon reveals the Tsauchab River’s powerful carving, a cool and captivating walk. We’ll return to our accommodation in the late afternoon, filled with memories of Namibia’s stunning desert beauty.

A custom built, comfortable, safe and self-sufficient Africa overland truck to withstand the rugged African terrain. Various vehicles are used on varying tours, with each offering comfortable seats with ample leg room. Each vehicle has large glass windows for uninterrupted views and perfect for game drives. Smaller 4×4 land cruiser type vehicles are used for game viewing in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, due to the roads being tougher and too narrow for the overland trucks. Each overland vehicle includes a passenger safe to safely keep money + passports + flight tickets + credit cards. The keys are kept with your Tour Leader who will advise of safety requirements in place concerning the safe.
